This is a brand new Weber 40 IDF 70 Carburetor.

It is an authentic Weber, Made in Spain.

This concerns the version without choke (or cold start device if you prefer that name).

The place where the choke mechanism is normally located has been neatly covered with a Weber branded cover plate.

This version is often used on Air-cooled VW and Porsche engines as it will NOT foul the ventilator housing unlike the version with choke mechanism which will simply not fit.

Of course they can be, and are being, used on other engines and makes such as Jaguar and Alfa Romeo.

It comes with the following standard jetting / calibration:

• Venturi / Choke : 28 mm
• Main jet: 115
• Emulsion tube: F11
• Air corrector jet: 200
• Pump exhaust valve: 55
• Idle jet: 55
• Pump jet: 60
• Needle valve: 1.75

There is a good chance that this standard jetting will require "tuning" for your engine so there is a more than good range of jets available for these carburetor so you can tune it to your requirements.
